About Wikimedia South Africa

Wikimedia ZA (South Africa) is a non-profit membership driven organisation that exists to support and represent Wikimedia project volunteer editors and open knowledge advocates.

Wikimedia ZA is the South African chapter of the global Wikimedia movement, and officially recognised as such by the Wikimedia Foundation. We support and promote Wikimedia projects, such as the free online Encyclopedia Wikipedia, the open online interlinked database Wikidata, and the multimedia database Wikimedia Commons.

Wikimedia ZA is a South African non-profit membership association whose funding relies on your donations.
